Flights and rendezvous with TEARS team at airport came off without a hitch.
In our group study this morning, one of the questions for discussion revolved around how we thought that God was showing his love through the Dominican TEARS team. Here are some observation points of love in action today:
... Sitting in the gazebo listening to the orientation from Rob and Bau. Bau, giving us a brief history of the Dominican Republic, his pride in his country and love for his community showing through clearly in his words spoken.
... The rapport and camaraderie of the Dominican TEARS team as they banter back and forth during Bau's lesson to us. They are a close knit group, each bringing their individual strengths to the overall ministry.
... The vision of Obed as he brings his talent for agriculture to the Centre in the development of the tomato field. His desire to further promote the agricultural side of the Centre and to integrate the education of the TEARS school children with the organic growth of the produce. He explains with excitement how they can apply the various school subjects back to the land. Obed has a vision of building greenhouses at the TEARS Centre which will more than double the crops of an individual plant and produce a far superior tomato than the open air growing will allow. Some of us visited a tree nursery with Obed to pick up a variety of trees that were donated for planting around the TEARS lands.

... The team as they busy themselves in the new kitchen of the Centre, preparing our meals and caring for us as their first group to be hosted at the conference centre.
... The conference centre itself is an ongoing project that the ministry has invested so much time, energy and love to see operational and so functional. We all thought it was very loving as we experienced hot showers this morning!
It was a great question to ask in the morning and a great experience to keep our focus on looking for God's guiding hand and love during the day. It certainly wasn't difficult to see.
